  • Observations:
    • NXT is top gainer and EG is top loser
  • Notes:
    • Generally, market is bearish. Plenty of factors. I am no market analyst but here is my take, foreign selling and buying on US economy, presence of new IPOs, impending talks again about FED tapering and the impact of typhoon
    • AC -  will it test 575-->38% Fibo as support? or will it free fall as well?
    • BDO will it have 75-->62% Fibo as support? or will it free fall as well?
    • PX - no idea for suport, gold is at 1250, mining will have its time
    • LCB - price way back 2010, like PX, it will have its time
    • URC - will price go down to 115?
    • LTG - if it will break 13 support, it will freefall to 5, ouch. still looking for news, only rumors were gathered
  • Watchlist for this week:
    • BPI oversold but look at MACD, retest of 85 support
    • COSCO impending breakaway, which side?
    • DNL impending breakaway, which side? 3Q profit no effect
    • IRC? flag pennant -> for breakout? wahaha pababa
    • MER retest support at 270?
    • MWC(support at 25?) market has little effect on this stock
    • TEL retest support at 2700?
    • SMC - retest support at 65?

Baklad is down. Need to replace bamboos. No budget yet. Think think think.

I have started applying for home loan. Cross fingers, I hope it will be approved or else... tsk tsk tsk

Will go to Divi tomorrow, going back to site soon.

Cheers!

Weekend News

Typhoon Yolanda really battered parts of Leyte, Cebu and Palawan (to name a few). Most of the news revolved on this calamity. Let's pray for their fast recovery.

Super Typhoon Haiyan/Yolanda made landfall today in VisMin and Southern Bicol Region with winds at 315kph and gusts at 380kh. According to news it broke the maximum at Dvorak scale that measures the storm's intensity. Classes were suspended and Signal #4 was declared on greatly affected areas. Onsite they suspended operations and prepared for the worst inside the camp.

Philippine market was hit also by some kind of a storm. My chips were in red and not the usual red as percent loss is >5%. Aray kupo! I looked for news and gained minimal information on what is happening. However I managed to add some for PX and LTG. PX is my long term and LTG since last week was ripe enough overripe na to have a reversal. I also tried letting go of LCB but my sell price was not hit. I was trying to release this and place to more attractive chips on my watchlist such as DNL and MWC. Anyway, next week would be another chapter.

Stay alert and be prepared. Have a safe week everyone!

It's my mother's birthday. I cooked spaghetti and bought some goods from SM. I inquired for home loan and paid bills at BDO. On tv, Porky Napoles was on hot seat during the Senate investigation. Unfortunately, the public did not get any substantial information relating to the PDAF case. She looks very haggard, but she could use her money and have Belo remodel her face. hehe

Typhoon is coming, be safe everyone. I pray for the market to be on dips so I could average down, in time for the bounce next week. Cross fingers, caveat.

Cheers!

Today, my colleague and I toured our boss together with his wife around the University of the Philippines Diliman. It was a good overall 'campus'experience as we get to tell and share our university experiences while traversing the Acad Oval. We showed the buildings and told them some of the history and why UP became UP. We visited old and new places namely the National Science Complex and of course the institute were we came from. They tried Rodic's and halo-halo. They rode the IKOT jeep and took some photos with their stuffbear companion. #it's more fun in UP

Now that he knows more about "Isko/Iska", I bet he will have a better understanding of my other colleagues onsite. It was a day well spent for my boss/mentor/friend and his wife.

Honor and Excellence. Integrity. The UP Community.

It's obvious if one stands out.

And this is what I see from my bosses, they are keen on learning the many different facets of a business. What the small businesses need to do is to look for a large growing market and then apply something to that market—what does the market need? How do people live their lives today? And how can you change the game?”

          Weekend Notes

It is a very long weekend for all the traders out there. What I did for the past few days is to study more about Technical Indicators (Fibonacci Retracements et al) and analyze my current stocks on hand. I get to share my views on certain stocks with my workmates onsite. It is a fun learning process, and I love the exchange of ideas.

I also watched Thor with my highschool tropa and had some good conversation during dinner at My Thai's. I had them taste Gastroliths, "packed with vitamins and heavy minerals" hahaha. Speaking of, packaging boxes is already on its way and the product did get some good reviews from my barako buds.

I also bought a Swiss ball for core strengthening and to sit upon while doing stocks. Kikita ka na, magkaka ABS ka pa, haha I wish...

Anyway, here is a roundup of weekend news:
