I was back to laundry boy duties this morning. I had too, my mom cannot. I just posted GTC orders to if ever my targets are hit. I was able to buy BDO @ 62 and PX at 7.98. AC @ 520 was not met but it closed at 524. I was surprised with URC as it closed at 112! My planned entry is at 110.

My cousins and I went to SM and clearly everyone is on Christmas rush. I managed to buy some gifts as well as ingredients for my sweet treats next week. Excited! :)

Cheers!

  • Others:

Home sweet home. Thank you Lord for the successful operation of my mother. She is on her way to full recovery. I have been staying in the hospital for a few days with my sister, but still managed to check business news once in a while. As QE tapering issue is already resolved, I will have my positions tomorrow which is the last trading day of the week. No it's not yet a reversal and market sentiment is not 100% reflected BUT oversold levels means bargain hunting and/or adding to my long terms chips. It's more fun investing on stocks. :)

Yesterday, I managed to attend UP Lantern Parade with some of my friends. As usual there are lots of creative and well crafted lanterns and floats to the theme of "relief goods". It was a pleasant view to calibrate my eyes with the beautiful women around me. It was a feel good UP moment where moments and memories were relieved while looking at the next generation workforce. I am very proud of where  I am now and what I have become because of UP. #upfight!

By the way, I'm happy :)

Cheers!

Charts- AC, BDO, LTG, and URC Dec. 15

Previous Chart Analysis can be read here.

Fig. 1 AC Stock Chart

Last time I mentioned AC was under profit taking. AC as well as other blue chips are being sold due to FED Tapering News. FOMC meeting will be on the 18th and I expect continue selldown of big chips while talks of tapering is ongoing.

All indicators suggest selling action. Oversold conditions of RSI and STS hint long term holders of BUY. However, looking at the market sentiment and news on the coming days, I suggest we look at the support and determine target levels of BUY. Support 1 at 520 (S1) is a strong support as it is a 76.4 retracement according to my Fibonacci analysis. Also, early this year, it was a strong support before going to 580 levels. S2 at 511 is the next level however it may be weak as I only chose it because of lower lows. S3 at 485 is another strong support as it was the lowest price during the tapering news on August. This level is a strong resistance prior to 500 levels which was a year ago. For longterm holders like me, I wish it to go down hard at 485 for me to accumulate.

The meeting on Dec. 18 will tell me which levels to buy. If a Christmas rally will happen due to good news, S1 should provide a good BUY signal.

According to experts on the forum, next year would be difficult for banks as interest rates will go up.
Sad news for Financials sector but long termers, this is a window of opportunity to accumulate. My beloved BDO is this year's #1 profitable bank. Estimated around P20B in revenues, BDO will increase bank branches to far flung areas (like JFC-> expanding).

I mentioned last time BDO behaved like AC. Currently it is still on a selldown. My only support is at 66 which was the lowest price this year due to FED tapering news last August. RSI and STS indicators suggest it is a BUY. MACD is way below 0 and things will only lighten up come 18th of December.

I tried looking for the past 3 years of BDO price activity and it seems during the last month of the year, BDO undergoes correction in time for "flight" come January and February. Does this suggest I should buy now? I think BDO has more to offer once the FED tapering is finished.

My 3rd try for LTG is so far unsuccessful. I used TA and it seems this time it did not work fueled by news of poor revenues and not paying tax from its tobacco importation. Now, LTG has been on the 15 territory and the 19 levels may be out of reach, for now. Looking at the support, 14 is a previous resistance but S2 at 12.8 is a major support which is the price action before it zoomed up to 20+ levels. Indicators suggest selling action. RSI and STS will be helpful for long term holders.

I don't want to average down on this as this is only a short term stock for me. The only good thing is the gap down at 21. I do not know when it will go back to this level but it will be payback once it hits the target. Aim high LTG!

Last Oct. 29, I had 10% gain here. Greed took over and now I am negative. Positive is now is a good time to accumulate again one of the promising stocks. This consumer stock is also recommended by our friend Mr. Banker. Looking at support levels, S1 at 110 is strong but lingering news and steep pointing indicators tell me this could go beyond that and touch the S2 major support at 105. MACD and DMI strongly suggest selling pressure. Prepare to accumulate long term holders.

My mining stocks PX and LCB are only valuable once gold hits on or above $1400. As of the moment, one can only dwell on the red marks on their ports but as soon as metals shine like diamonds again, then we traders will have their attention on this two stocks. As of now I'm ipit with LCB.

My first 6months of stock investing is such an experience. Did I learn from mistakes to be able to face next year? Ups and downs are part of everyday success and will make you wiser at the end of every trade. Do not forget to share your views and listen to others as when they give their thoughts.

Merry Christmas everyone and may we see large green candles before and after this year ends! :)

Hunger Games and The Hobbit

Nanood ako ng The Hunger Games: Catching Fire at The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug kanina.

Baklad Update

BakLOSE or BakLUGE?

Our baklad suffered damages during the super typhoon. The nets were safe as they were pulled out prior to the storm. The affected were the bamboo poles as they were bent/halved/uprooted during wave action.

Knowing this, obviously we would need repairs to continue operation. We arranged a meeting with our operator. We discussed what has to be done and how much is it going to cost us. We agreed to terms and told him we'll find ways to provide that amount. He asked us to buy a boat, but insisted we will only buy a boat if the capital is gained. We actually have the money for repairs but we were waiting for him to offer other terms as this project is not only ours but a partnership of both parties. We gave what he asked for (the repairs) on a fine Sunday. Everything is alright until his cousin (our driver) called me at night.

He was giving the money back and wants to talk to us the next day. I said ok and I had a hunch on what is going on. I believe there are rumors circulating again between him and our driver's family. The next day, I met him. He was very furious and was returning the baklad to us. He wants no part of it anymore. He said he was tired of all the rumors/gossips that surrounds our operation. Our driver and the operator's wife wanted to speak but I gave them a big hand to tell them that the talk is between me and our operator.

Then it was my turn.

I was very upset of what happened. I was busy too at that time and having this problem is a pain in the A. I explained to him this is a TRUST issue. We invested because we know he can make the money grow. We know he was good at this. He supported his family as well as the community with baklad fishing. But why? His cousin, our driver was the one who encouraged us to invest on him. But what happened, the two families are now at war. The root cause: "chismis" (gossips/rumors)

I told him our side. I told him it's a business and money matters. We don't give a damn about their lives but we didn't want this situation in the first place. I explained to him everything and told him their acts are bullshit. I shortened our conversation by thanking him for the last 5months. We parted ways and he was happy to give our baklad back.

I left there with my face down and a heavy heart. I am saddened by this culture, the upbringing and the mentality they have. He could have been our future mudcrabs operator we could have put up more baklads. But after all, it is not a good business if one side is unhappy. Now gone are the days thinking he bought his new motorbike and new fishing boat at our own expense. If ever, karma is lurking to balance things out.

Also, our ex-Chief came to me and asked me how is our business doing. I told him about our story and what's our plan. He was happy for us because of investing and he advised that just keep our heads up. He also showed pictures of baklad in bird's eye view. I was shocked that there are plenty, around 10-15 while 5 months ago, there's only two! Anyway, you we have to move on. It's all in the past now.

Our next move is to find a new operator. And it seems like our driver will be the one to manage and just hire someone who will harvest. We will see. We lose our operator but we are not yet luge. :)

Merry na, Chritmas pa!

Greetings!

It has been a while since my last post. I was too busy and preoccupied with my last roster that I failed to monitor any of my stocks. I know that the market is slumping so I made good-til-cancel orders. They say it's a red Christmas, but it will not be complete without the greens, right? My last roster was FUN, it was sooo FUN that I did not notice I am going home on the 10th. These are the moments that makes life easier at the minesite.

The greens and reds:

  • Green for my new role and new challenges to face. A lot of procedures to be placed. Btw, end of month recon is 3% woohoo.
  • Red for the lowest ever production. Too technical haha
  • Green for Touch Rugby. Played for the first time under heavy rain. Run Forrest Run! This will be an every Friday activity.
  • Red for 5th place in bowling. However, I would say that we beat the good teams and lost to bad teams. A 0.500 record is still good enough.
  • Green for Badminton. I added this because you sweat a lot and if you play with Doms and Rands, it would be sooo hilarious. We would sneak when the elite players are done playing hahaha.
  • Red for Baklad. Our operator quit. The social problems encountered brought down our Baklad rather than the battering it sustained from typhoon Yolanda.
  • Red for bad news. My mom will undergo operation asap. This C disease has been an enemy for both sides of my family. We will make it through. #pusoooo
  • Green for BONUS. Work hard (earn bonus) then party harder!
  • Red for Gastro boxes. It was too expensive! What the FOX say!
  • Green for Sitewide Christmas Party. When everyone else is going home early, we were left dancing til the band packed up their stuff. We continued til 2AM at Block 7. Btw, those guys who were rowdy were from Block 9 and 15, haha.
  • Green for my 4kilos lost during my "no carbs" diet!!!

I'll spend Christmas here and New Year onsite. I still have time for gifts and my wishlist. :)
